Meet Baris Kayrak, our founder, who brings the magic of fine jewelry to the sunny shores of Palma de Mallorca. Born in the vibrant city of Istanbul, Baris grew up surrounded by history and a family who loved creating beautiful things.
From Childhood Dreams to Master Craftsman
- My journey into the world of jewelry began in the bustling streets of Istanbul, a city steeped in history and craftsmanship. As a young boy, wandering through my father’s diverse shop, I was captivated by the intricate beauty of jewelry. This fascination grew as I learned the art from true masters in the Grand Bazaar.
Early Inspirations and Lifelong Passion
Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs, business was part of my daily life, but it was the sparkling gems and metals that stole my heart. I would spend every moment I could in the workshops, watching and learning as the craftsmen transformed raw materials into stunning pieces of art. This early exposure to the world of jewelry crafting not only shaped my career but also my entire outlook on beauty and precision.

After graduating with an economics degree, I knew I couldn't turn away from my passion. In 2001, opportunity knocked when my family decided to expand our business to Mallorca. It wasn't just a new market—it was my new home and the future of my dreams.
I started by sharing my designs with some of the finest jewelers across Spain. Recognition came swiftly, and soon, I was showcasing my work at international exhibitions from Las Vegas to Dubai and from Hong Kong to Madrid.
A Milestone Achieved
The real milestone came in 2010 when I opened my very first Diamotto store in the heart of Palma de Mallorca. This was soon followed by a second store in the iconic Castillo HotelSon Vida in 2012, and a third in the luxurious St. Regis Mardavall in 2018. Each location is a part of my dream, bringing the essence of Istanbul’s craftsmanship to the heart of Mallorca.
